Sally's experience is in constant demand, and she works with many local authorities, schools, museums and organisations across Scotland. She lectures part-time at Edinburgh College of Art teaching Fashion, Accessories and Millinery to degree students within the Fashion Department and the Performance Costume Department, and has also tutored at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen.
Sally has completed two Scottish Arts Council Craft Residencies, and was one of the artists/designers piloting the 'Arts Across The Curriculum' Initiative in schools across Scotland for the Scottish Government - using the arts to enhance the teaching of other subjects. She was also a lead artist devising and delivering a large programme of family and community workshops for the Six Cities Design Festival at The City Art Centre in Edinburgh in 2007.
Working in collaboration with schools, colleges, museum education services and community groups, Sally uses her extensive experience to deliver stimulating and enjoyable 3D design, sewing, fashion, craft, and costume, projects and workshops for children, young people and adults, whatever their abilities. She designs projects and workshops to enhance the Curriculum for Excellence and she is always keen to discuss ideas with schools who would like to use art and design in this context. For more information, to discuss an idea, or to book a workshop - contact Sally.
