Having a unique hat or handbag designed and handmade especially for you is a special experience. Based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Sally designs and makes bespoke hats, handbags and headpieces for clients who live all over the world. She will consult closely with you to understand the look you want and can create a unique piece to suit any occasion. Consultations are done - in person at her studio, by phone, email or skype - or a combination of all four!
Headwear can be colour matched to your outfit, and hats and handbags can be created to match, or complement each other.
A consultation with Sally can be arranged by making contact either through the website or by phone. Come and try some hats and/or bags on whilst drinking tea from her collection of vintage cups and saucers, and then Sally will discuss shape, proportion, design and trim with you. You can then choose from a wide selection of colour, fabric, leather and feather samples. Fabrics and feathers can also be dyed to colour-match your outfit. Sally will then give you an estimate of cost and expected delivery time. After leaving a 30% deposit, work begins – you may be asked to come back for a fitting for any final alterations before completion. Balance of payment is due before delivery.
If you are unable to get to the studio, we can discuss design ideas with you by phone, email or skype. If you are happy to go ahead, you would then pay a 30% deposit and we can then send you colour and fabric samples to choose from. As work progresses we will email you design variations and in-progress shots enabling you to visualise your piece taking shape, and us to make any small alterations you require. We can even do a 'virtual hat fitting' for you! so you are very much involved in the design process. Balance of payment is due before delivery.
